Bill Blair Memorial FundBill Blair

A fund with Washington Water Trails Association has been set up in memory of Bill Blair. Bill was a Washington Water Trails member since 1995. While working for Seattle Parks he helped the Lakes-To-Locks Water Trail along its infancy. Bill adopted the 6th Avenue West street end on the north side of Queen Anne. His promise to maintain the site was key to getting permit approval to improve this launch and landing site. On a cold March 2004 Saturday Bill and other WWTA, Friends of Seattle Street Ends, and neighborhood volunteers put in native plants. He pulled homemade chili from the trunk of his car and heated it up on a portable stove for everyone. He continued to stop by and weed the street end after moving to Covington

Donations made in Bill's memory will support WWTA's vital public access and water trail work.
