On summer days, visitors to Shaw County Park may find pleasurable swimming at Indian Cove. Warmer water temperatures are created by exposure to long hours of sunlight and the cove’s shallow depths. The scene is completed by the beautiful sandy beach. Once a military reservation, the 60-acre property is now preserved by San Juan County Parks. The park has 3,249 feet of shoreline.
