GiveBig!

GiveBigWA is upon us! We hope all of you are staying well and safe, have been able to find a vaccine, and are out enjoying the open air and water.

Since 1980, through the work of our founders, we have strived to maintain access to the water through the creation of water trails. The Cascadia Marine Trail is our flagship trail, but we have also worked with Seattle Department of Transportation, the Street Ends Program, and Bush School on the Lakes to Locks Trail. We were recently contacted by a ranger who wants to update sites along the Northwest Discovery Trail!

We are grateful for all of you who have stepped forward to steward our sites, who have sent in alerts, proposed new sites and who have reached out to each other.

We are continuing to work on our projects. We have ongoing communication with Washington State Parks regarding updated signage. As our 2014 guidebooks finally ran out, we updated the guidebook and ordered another 250. We have been communicating with various counties about sites such as Oak Bay and Ala Spit, and are making headway with those and others.

Bill Brackin continues to do an excellent job in his role as Membership Manager. Thanks to everyone on our board for contributing important skills and time, and to Harry Oesterreicher as work party coordinator.

We are still working on our online trails maps and looking at a new system.

We thank all of you who have reached out to volunteer in the office, as a steward and for a work party!

Thank you in advance for considering a gift to Washington Water Trails for GiveBig. You are able to schedule your donations as early as today, and also to create your own FUNdraising page.

Sincerely,

Andrée Hurley
Executive Director

We want to thank all of you for your generous support. Your individual donations allow us to keep our office open, plan for new online and printed guidebooks, updated signs along the trail, and more.
