Hope Island Paddle and Picnic (South Sound)

August 28th – Arcadia to Hope Island, with a picnic at Walker County Park

Kasia Pierzga has offered to organize a paddle from Arcadia to Hope Island, and has reserved the picnic shelter at Walker County Park (one of our sites) for a picnic.

Launch from Arcadia

Launch time 12:00 pm

Paddle to Hope Island and perhaps circumnavigate

Return for picnic by 4:00pm

Beginning to intermediate trip – prerequisite – have had basic paddling and rescue classes – dress for the water.

We could use a couple more experienced paddlers to help.

We are asking a sliding scale donation from $5.00-$30.00. We would really love a great showing to celebrate many things, including being able to get together!

Please do keep the current CDC and Washington State recommendations in mind when it comes to wearing masks and social distancing.
