The Secrets of Tides and Currents

Andree Hurley presents “The Secrets of Tides and Currents”, planning and navigating through Northwest waters. Powerpoint presentation followed by small group work, trip planning.

5:30pm – social with pizza, potluck appetizers and beverages
6:00 – 9:00 presentation with time for questions or mingling afterwards

Andree has been teaching kayaking since 1984 and has led or been on kayaking trips in various countries such as Baja, Mexico, Belize, Chile, Bolivia and Hong Kong. She worked as a kayaking instructor with Lakeside School and the Northwest Outdoor Center. She was first certified by the American Canoe Association in 1989, and has recently retired as a Level 4 Instructor Trainer Educator for Coastal Kayaking, and an Instructor Trainer for Whitewater kayaking. She is the current president of Washington Water Trails, and has been on the board of the Washington Kayak Club, the Trade Association of Paddlesports and the American Canoe Association. She is Realtor with Coldwell Banker Bain and has a community partnership with WWTA.
