Summer Recreational Vessel Lockage Schedule

Click here for the Summer Recreational Lockage Schedule for the Portland District. The Portland District navigation locks are: Bonneville at River Mile 145, The Dalles at River Mile 191, and John Day at River Mile 216.

Non-motorized Boaters

Portage of non-motorized recreational craft and other vessels is unsuitable for lockage is the preferred method of transport around dams. Non-motorized craft on the Columbia River may be locked through if moored to a motorized assist vessel. On the Snake River, non-motorized craft may be locked through without an assist vessel when no spill is occurring. For portage information, visit the portage guide.
