#GivingTuesday
#GivingTuesday is a worldwide day of giving on November 28th. It is one of most important fundraising days which ties into the End of Year donations. All of these are tax deductible. Thanks to your support, this year we held six work parties, negotiated for new sites along the Strait of Juan de Fuca, Hood Canal and Oakland Bay, to name a few. We worked on reinvigorating the Northwest Discovery Trail and Willapa Bay Trail. Keeping sites open also requires negotiation as seen in Oak Harbor and the Gig Harbor area.We also appreciate our volunteers; you know who you are as you have been out-and-about fixing signs, removing noxious weeds and more.  Mapping and information are important; we constantly update the website and produce the Guidebook approximately once a year with new information. Thanks to our mapping crew, we now have all of our trails in ArcGis! We also have a downloadable and printable PDF of the Cascadia Marine TrailDonations can be made directly through our fundraising page, or by check. We receive many checks from investment accounts which often mandate a portion of the investments are spent each year. We just had a request from a member to make an electronically fillable form to attach to these, which is now linked from our donation page.

Memberships
We thank those who are keeping their membership current as it helps us to keep providing access to the water – and from the water to the land for human powered and non-motorized boats.

One of our members said: “Everything WWTA has done and continues to do is a great success. It’s all important to me and to many others. I am truly grateful to have kayaked and camped at many of the WWTA campsites over the years. We have an amazing resource here in Washington state thanks to WWTA staff and volunteers.”

We appreciate and are grateful for every donation we receive. Your generosity supports the work of Tom Steinburn, Tom Deschner and other founders to not only create access to the water but to build and maintain more trail sites for human powered craft.

Through advocacy, education, and stewardship, Washington Water Trails Association protects and promotes public access to Washington waterways, shorelines,
and marine trails for human-powered watercraft.
